Director of Nursing

Co Longford/Westmeath

We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing for this 48 bedded purpose-built facility which will offers respite, convalescence and long-stay facilities in relaxed and intimate environment. Located in the quaint village, in Co. Longford, this home offers person centred care with consistent high standards of care both professionally and practically.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Nursing Home, both clinically and operationally ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff. The Nursing Home operates a 24 hour service 365 days a year.

Requirements:
• Candidates must be registered with An Bord Altranais
• Candidates must have at least 3 years experience out of the last 6 years in Aged Care.
• Have up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations
• Preferably hold a certificate in Gerontology and a management qualification
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a patient centred approach to nursing care.
• Strong Leadership Qualities, Clinical Skills and Communication Skills
• Must hold a EU passport or if Non EU passport holder must have GNIB Stamp 4
